Based in the traditional fishing village of Portsoy, in North East Scotland, Gourmets Choice has been selecting and smoking the finest fish for over 100 years, in particular Scottish Smoked Salmon. We also offer other smoked products – Haddock, Mackerel, Kippers, Halibut to name a few.


To complement our smoked seafood range we also source and supply various fresh fish – Salmon, Haddock, Cod, Halibut, Seabass, Monkfish and many more species.


Gourmets Choice products are chilled or frozen, sold in the UK and exported around the world (Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Lebanon, Italy,

France, Germany, Czech Republic, Seychelles, Uganda, Kenya).


Our products can be supplied in either our Gourmets Choice or Sutherlands brand.

Coastal distillery Glenglassaugh has partnered with traditional highland smoked salmon producer, Sutherlands of Portsoy, to create a luxury smoked salmon infused with Glenglassaugh Peated Torfa Single Malt Whisky.

Made using Sutherlands of Portsoy methods passed down through the same family for  100  years  with  no  artificial  chemicals  or  preservatives, the  salmon  has  been  smoked  in  the  time-honoured  traditional  kilnhouse  over  whisky  barrel  shavings  before being infused with Glenglassaugh Peated Torfa Single Malt Whisky
